Appointment FAQs
Helpful answers about booking an appointment at On Point Natural Medicine.
Which appointment should I book if I am new to the clinic?
Choose an initial consultation. This allows enough time to discuss your health history, current concerns, medications and goals before any suitable options are considered.
Do I need a referral for acupuncture or Chinese medicine?
A referral is generally not required. Please bring relevant test results, reports and a current medication list. Your practitioner may recommend speaking with your GP or another health professional when appropriate.
What should I wear to my appointment?
Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that can be moved above the elbows and knees. Have a light meal beforehand and remain normally hydrated unless another health professional has advised otherwise.
Will treatment happen at my first appointment?
Treatment may be offered after assessment when it is appropriate and you provide informed consent. Sometimes further information or referral is recommended before treatment begins.
Are private health rebates available?
Eligibility depends on your insurer, policy and chosen service. Please check directly with your health fund before booking. A receipt can be provided for eligible services.
What if I need to change or cancel my appointment?
Can I claim on private health insurance?
